BOYD -- Jean McConnell, 79, a retired nurse's aide, died Friday, July 22, 2005, in Decatur. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Paradise Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Jean was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Orndorff; three sisters, Iva, Lorene, and Jackie; three brothers, Chris, Jeff, and Avery Erwin. Survivors: Daughters, Maxie Hubbell and husband Herb of New Mexico, Darlynn Jennings and husband Bo of Boyd; grandchildren, Clifton Day and wife Deidre, Timothy Jennings, Trent Jennings, Tiffany Read and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Jacob Day, Triston and Kaiya Read, Justin and Misty Wolfe; numerous nieces and nephews.
