Jean Lowrey Mckeever

Chico~ Jean Lowrey McKeever, 80, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 5th, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery in Chico. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Chaplain Phillip Weitner will officiate. Pallbearers are to include, Patrick McKeever, Curtis Buckner, Logan McKeever, Eddie Pecina, Jarrett Wilson, Michael Lowrey, Randy Lowrey, Johnny McKeever and Jeff McKeever.

Jean was born on May 16, 1942, to Hubert Gose and Marie (Knox) Lowrey in Bridgeport, Texas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life and best friend, Lee Roy McKeever on June 24th, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas, they spent 53 wonderful years together until his passing on October 24, 2013. Jean was a homemaker and housewife who took great pride in her home and supporting her family. She also worked as a caregiver and kept many children over the years, she was always a blessing to others. Jean cherished her children and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lee Roy McKeever and brother John Robert Lowrey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Tony McKeever and wife Mary of Bridgeport; her daughter, Delinda Buckner and husband Randel of Bridgeport; her son, Rick McKeever of Decatur; her grandchildren, Patrick McKeever and wife Mallory of Springtown, Elizabeth Pecina and husband Eddie of Paradise, Stephanie Wilson and husband Jarrett of Ft. Worth, Curtis Buckner and wife Whitney of Bridgeport, Shelby Robinson of Decatur, and Logan McKeever of Decatur; nine great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and friends.
