NEWARK -- Jean Watson, 67, a babysitter and child caregiver went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 in Decatur. Memorial Service: 7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Haslett. Rev. Thomas Thurman will officiate.
Jean was born on December 2, 1940 in Oak Hill, Oklahoma to John Harris and Oma (Strahan) Mitchell. She married Gene Watson on February 19, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Haslet.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Jonathan Parnell; two brothers, Felix and Sonny Mitchell; and a sister, Sylvia Cates.
Left behind to cherish her memory are: sons Fred Eugene Parnell and wife Rosa of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Michael Isaac Parnell and wife Kathy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Jerry Parnell of Decatur; daughters, Judy Kathryn Evans of Boyd, Stacy Moran of Missouri, and Christine Thurman and husband David of Euless; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Johnny M. Mitchell of Bethel, Oklahoma.
