Jeanne Oatts Edwards

RUNAWAY BAY ~ Jeanne Oatts Edwards, 92, a retired dental assistant and office manager went to be with our Lord, Friday, Sept. 24, in Arlington.

FUNERAL: 1 PM Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home with burial to follow at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 4-6 PM Sunday. The Reverend Craig Erb to officiate.

Jeanne was born June 3, 1918 to Walter Benjamin and Johnnie Anna (Holland) Oatts in Waco Texas. She married Donald M. Sharp in 1936 and moved to live on a working farm in Lebanon, New Jersey. He preceded her in death.

In 1970, she married Jesse "Eddie" Mac Edwards and they made their home at Runaway Bay where they were very active in the community until his passing in 1994. She continued being active until 2003 when her health declined. She volunteered her time for AARP and Wise County voter registration. She was a member of the Bridgeport Garden Club and the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

Her many interests included cooking, making jelly, picnicking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, traveling, swimming, water aerobics, oil painting and ceramics, gardening and yard work. She dearly loved her
