Jenetta Carpenter

Chico~ Jenetta Carpenter, 78, went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport followed by burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Rev. Dale Webster will officiate. Pallbearers are to include, Wayne Mask, Butch Baker, Jackie Phillips, David Moore, Scotty Ferrier, Ken Brinson, and Kyle Hastings.

Jenetta was born on December 5, 1942 to Cecil and Delois (Webb) McDaniel in Bridgeport, Texas. She was united in marriage to Bobby Carpenter on June 29, 1960 in Bridgeport. Jenetta was a homemaker who cherished her time with her family and friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport and a lifelong resident of Wise County. Jenetta was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Kay Cowan.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 61 years, Bobby Carpenter of Chico; her daughter, Leisha Blaylock and husband Bill of Chico; her grandchildren, Joshua Blaylock and wife Joli of Chico, and Jessica Harbor and husband Joshua of Maypearl; her great-grandchildren, Cade, Logan, Tatum, and Eli Blaylock and Davi and Hannah Harbor; numerous extended family members and a host of good friends.
