Aurora ~ Jerry Lane Brammer, 89, went to be with our Lord Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Saginaw, Texas.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Rhome Church of Christ with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Roy Deaver will officiate. Pallbearers include Caleb Brammer, Ben Brammer, Dustin Shelfer, Mark Francis, John Peterson, and David Garvin.
Jerry was born July 25, 1934 to Dewey Daniel and Lois Odell (Roberts) Brammer in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage April 15, 1960 to Barbara Hargis in Justin, Texas. Jerry was a retired welder after many years with Star Tank, and proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lois Brammer; his wife, Barbara Brammer; and a sister, Valda Jean Ross.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, David W. Brammer and wife Kathy of Houston; his daughters, Cathy D. Francis of Ft. Worth, and Karen A. Shelfer of Saginaw; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Billie Womack and husband Lary, and Dixie Biggs and husband Ronny; extended family members and a host of friends.
