Chico ~ Jerry Curtis Buckingham, 76, a farmer and rancher, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Chico.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Chico with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Bro. Ken Hedstrom will officiate. Pallbearers include Curtis Ryan Roberts, Jared Curtis Hilgendorf, Andy Hardee, Bob Gnagy, Chris Barnes, and Darryl James.
Jerry was born on March 12, 1936 to Charles and Ruth (Hunter) Buckingham in Chico. He was united in marriage to Beth Meek on July 21, 1961 in Chico. Jerry served his country in the Navy Reserves. He was plant manager for Gifford Hill for over 20 years. Jerry was also a farmer and rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beth; his daughter, Jodi Sue Buckingham; his sisters,Virginia Barnes and Charlene Gnagy. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jeri Ann Roberts of Chico, Jana Ruth Duke of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Curtis Ryan Roberts and wife Brittany of Keller, Jamie Lee Roberts of Chico, Jaclyn Elizabeth Hardee and husband Andy of Springtown, Jessica Dawn Roberts of Chico, and Jared Curtis Hilgendorf of Fort Worth; other family members and a host of friends.
