Jerry Drew Deweese

Boyd ~ Jerry Drew Deweese, 79, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10 AM Monday at Hilltop Church in Springtown with burial in Goshen Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 PM Sunday at the church.

Bro. Gary Veazey and Bro. Brent Coplen will officiate. Pallbearers are Ty Beauchamp, Dalton Deweese, Cole Beauchamp, Chad Pinson, Will Wilkerson, and Rob Rogers.

Jerry was born on November 7, 1941 to Roy and Velma (Justice) Deweese in Wink, Texas. He was united in marriage to Lorene Elliott on June 9, 1978 in Fort Worth. Jerry retired as a welder and a heavy equipment operator. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorene Deweese; his daughter, Sheri D. Rucker; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Doug Deweese and wife Michelle of Boyd, and Robert Earl Beauchamp and wife Stacey of Boyd; his daughter, Lori Pinson and husband Ken of Willow Park; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
