Boyd ~ Jerry Wayne "Hotfoot" Orr Sr., 68, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Monday, September 5, 2011 at his home in Boyd.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Rick Cooper will officiate. Pallbearers are Gene Wilson, Teddy Wilson, Dubba Lane, David Canada, Ricky Burton, and R.D. Patterson. Honorary pallbearer is Eddie Ward.
Jerry was born on January 7, 1943 to J.T. and Mary (Robison) Orr in Honey Grove, Texas. He married Linda Purser on March 17, 1968 in Durant, Oklahoma. Jerry was a truck driver for Orr Transport.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jerry Wayne Orr Jr.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Linda Orr of Boyd; his sons, Greg Orr and wife Julie of Bridgeport and Kenneth Orr of Boyd; nine granddaughters, Amanda, Lacy, Morgan, Cheyenne, Dakota, Montana, Paytin, Ashton, and Landyn; two great grandchildren, Brook and Gage; his brother, George Orr and wife Linda of Cleburne; other relatives and a host of friends.
