Decatur ~ Jerry Lee Ray, 75, a retired mechanic, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 10:30 AM Tuesday at U-Turn World Ministries in Chico with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Kevin Alexander will officiate. Pallbearers include Cody Tedrow, Tyler Delano, Kristof Pewitt, Chris Gibson, Spencer Rawle, Jason Montgomery, Harry Daugherty, and Tom Rawle.

Jerry was born on July 22, 1945 to Dibrel and Lucy (Baldridge) Ray in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Jeannie Esther Daugherty on June 5, 1971 in Marietta, Oklahoma. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Jimmy Winn; 2 brothers, Jack and Jim Ray; and 3 sisters, Betty Webb, Peggy Dean and Barbara Ross.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Jeannie Ray of Decatur; 3 daughters, Jenny Montgomery and husband David of Boyd, Denise Noakes and husband Wes Shoecraft of Boyd, and Lucy Farris of Boyd; 10 grandchildren, Kristina, Cody, Alexis, Tyler, Emily, Samantha, Logan, Randy, Jason, and Elissya; 4 great-grandchildren, Emmitt, Jack, Spencer, and Quinn; his sister, Pat Carter and husband Michael; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
