Decatur ~ Jerry Lyndel Utley, 72, a retired welder, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Jerry was born on October 6, 1941 to Dewey and Jennie (Simmons) Utley in Boyd. He was united in marriage to Bertie Lynn Harris on May 31, 1961 until her passing on June 16, 1995. Jerry was united in marriage to Judith Ann Morrison on November 5, 2000 in Rainbow, Texas. He retired from welding with an agricultural manufacturing company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bertie Lynn (Harris) Utley; and his sister, Geneva Wheeler.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years, Judith Utley of Decatur; his son, Craig Utley and wife Meredith of Wichita Falls; his grandson, Nick Utley of Wichita Falls; his granddaughter, Sailor Utley of Wichita Falls; his stepson, Leon McGee of Fort Worth; his step daughter, Margie Bayless of Dickson, Tennessee; his sisters, Jewel Burke of Covington, Texas and Dorris Dickey and husband Tony of Rhome; his brother-in-law, Bill Wheeler and wife Bobbie of Rhome; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
