Houston: Jesse Burk Foster, 92, formerly of Decatur, a retired welder, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Houston.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21st at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Jackie Merritt officiating. Family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Jesse was born April 4, 1920 in Decatur to Archey H. and Ida (Burk) Foster.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Louise Jones; daughter, Dollie Carroll; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jerry Foster and wife Joanna of Houston; daughter, Patricia Stebenne and husband Jerry of Houston; three grandsons, David, Todd and Jerry Carroll; three great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Foster; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
