Decatur ~ Jesse W. Rowe, 88, a retired dairy owner, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, at Living Word Assembly of God in Alvord with burial at Alvord Cemetery in Alvord, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Phillip Weitner will officiate. Pallbearers include Carlos Torres, Gregory Torres, James Rowe, Royce Ruddick, Vance Fortenberry, and Hubert E. Boner.
Jesse was born on January 19, 1928 to Noah and Julie (Wages) Rowe in Doyle, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Barbara Stines-Thomas on May 15, 1999 in Alvord, Texas. Jesse was a member of Living Word Assembly of God Church in Alvord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Julie Rowe; his first wife, Carolyn Rowe; 8 siblings.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 16 years Barbara Thomas-Rowe of Decatur; his daughter, Carmella Rowe of Fort Worth; his son, Reginald Rowe and wife Delores of Decatur; his step-children, Bryan Thomas and Ginger Smith; 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Kyle, Jamie, and Andrew; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
