DECATUR -- Jessie Ola Walker, 86, a homemaker went to be with our Lord Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg. Family will receive friends at 1 p.m. before the service on Wednesday.
Bro. Edwin Lee Carlisle will officiate, assisted by Bro. Roger D. Rhodes. Pallbearers will be: Gary Walker, Rhonie Walker, Chris Walker, Chad Nickadam, Corey Nickadam, Wayne East, and Alan Tinney.
Jessie Ola was born on January 15, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Jessie and Mamie (Chapel) East.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.A. Walker; her former husband, W.A. Tinney; her daughter, Cecilia Walker; and her brother, Dewey East.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her sons, G.A. Walker and wife Diann of Burleson, Harold Walker and wife Lynn of Azle; adopted son, Bobby Tinney of Mineral Wells; six grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, James East of Decatur, Eddie East of Gainsville, Willie East of Florida; sisters, Sarah Heisler of Chico, Linnie East of Illinois, Earnestine Risk of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.
