Jesus Cruz Gomez Gonzalez, 59, went to be with his Lord on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Fort Worth.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, January 17, 2025, at St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM with Rosary at 7 PM on Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Jesus was born in Zaragoza, Coahuila, MX on August 9, 1965 to Cruz Gomez and Cirila Gonzalez. He was a construction worker, a member of St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church, he loved to be with his family and friends. Jesus was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, nephew, and friend to many who will miss him dearly. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Maria Zamora.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Nancy Gomez of Bridgeport, Alondra Yudith Gomez Zamora of Zaragoza Coahuila MX, Valeria Gomez and husband Tre’ Vonte Owens of Bridgeport; his sons Sergio Gomez of Bridgeport and Jose De Jesus Gomez Zamora of Zaragoza Coahuila MX.; his grandchildren Yeslie Mares, Jose Gomez, Jr., Jared Gomez, Yashira Gomez, Yaritzia Gomez, Cruz Owens, and Monserrat Owens; his sister Tere Leija; his brothers Martin Gomez, and Miguel Gomez; his nieces, nephews, numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Jesús Cruz Gómez González, de 59 años, fue a estar con su Señor el viernes 10 de enero de 2025 en Fort Worth.

La Misa de Entierro Cristiano será a las 10:30 a.m. el viernes 17 de enero de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica de San Juan Bautista en Bridgeport. La familia recibirá a los amigos de 6 a 8 p.m. con el Rosario a las 7 p.m. el jueves en la Funeraria Hawkins en Bridgeport.

Jesús nació en Zaragoza, Coahuila, MX el 9 de agosto de 1965, hijo de Cruz Gómez y Cirila González. Era trabajador de la construcción, miembro de la iglesia católica de San Juan Bautista, le encantaba estar con su familia y amigos. Jesús fue un amado padre, abuelo, tío, hermano, sobrino y amigo para muchos que lo extrañarán mucho. 

Fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres; y su esposa María Zamora.

Los que quedan atrás para atesorar su memoria son sus hijas, Nancy Gómez de Bridgeport, Alondra Yudith Gómez Zamora de Zaragoza Coahuila MX, Valeria Gómez y su esposo Tre' Vonte Owens de Bridgeport; sus hijos, Sergio Gómez, de Bridgeport, y José De Jesús Gómez Zamora, de Zaragoza, Coahuila, MX.; sus nietos Yeslie Mares, José Gómez, Jr., Jared Gómez, Yashira Gómez, Yaritzia Gómez, Cruz Owens y Monserrat Owens; su hermana Tere Leija; sus hermanos Martín Gómez y Miguel Gómez; sus sobrinas, sobrinos, numerosos familiares y una gran cantidad de amigos.
