Decatur ~ Jesus Sandate, 69, went to be with our Lord Friday, December 17, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.

Pallbearers will include Danny Sandate, Daniel Sandate, Jesus Sandate, Jr., J.C. Fraga, Edgar Vasquez, and Guadalupe Aranda.

Jesus was born February 6, 1951 to Pablo and Margarita (Macias) Sandate in Zaragosa, Mexico. He was united in marriage April, 1973 to Yolanda Mendoza in Zaragoza, Mexico.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years until her passing January 27, 2020, Yolanda Sandate; and his brother, Jose Luis Sandate.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Daniel Sandate and wife Fabiola and Jesus Sandate, Jr. and his wife Griselda; his 3 daughters, Esmerelda Fraga and husband Julio, Petra Vasquez and husband Edgar, and Christina Sandate and husband Lupe Aranda; his 13 grandchildren, Danny, Shelby, Julio, Jr., Daisie, Glendy, Aaron, Alicia, Samuel, Jesus, Milagros, Jaden, Rickey, and Edgar; 2 great-grandchildren, Thiago and Xander; his brothers, Ricardo Sandate, Juan Jose Sandate, Benito Sandate, Pablo Sandate, and Santiago Sandate; his sisters, Leornada Sanchez and Maria Isabel Alvarez; numerous nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
