PARADISE -- Jim Dougherty, 72, a retired American Airlines maintenance mechanic went to be with our Lord Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 in Paradise.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Bro Stan Cox will officiate.
Jim was born August 30,1936 in Parkersburg, West Virginia the son of Harry Sherman and Lyda Marie (Dotson) Dougherty. He married Barbara Ann Locke on October 31, 1959 in Fort Worth. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Jim was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth Dougherty and sister Marjorie Showalter.
Left beind to cherish his memory: wife of 50 years, Barbara Dougherty of Paradise; Sons: Todd Colin Dougherty of Fort Worth, Thad and wife Anetta Dougherty of Webster, New Hampshire; Grandsons: Silas and Luke Dougherty; brothers: Francis and Ed Dougherty; Sisters: Lillian Plum, Barbara Jean Dougherty, Becky Petty, and Ava Lee Stanley.
