Mr. Gasperson was born September 1, 1940, in Decatur, Texas, to E.G and Myrtle Morris Gasperson. He married Olivia Holmes in May of 1959, in Decatur.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Brother Lee Hamby will officiate. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Chapel.
Pallbearers: Sam Holmes, Chris Holmes, Jason Holmes, Willie Gasperson, Brian Gasperson, Wade Gasperson, Brian Podzemny and Casey Best.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Olivia Ann Gasperson; daughter, Melinda Ann Gasperson; 3 brothers, Bill Gasperson, Bob Gasperson and Sonnie Gasperson; 3 nieces, Raquel Gasperson, Joanna Gasperson and Alison Podzemny; 6 nephews, Sam Holmes, Chris Holmes, Jason Holmes, Willie Gasperson, Brian Gasperson, Wade Gasperson and Dr. Jeff Harrison.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Greg Terrell.
