Jimmie York Adams

Fort Worth ~ Jimmie York Adams, 87, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Fort Worth.

Memorial is 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday at VFW Avondale/Haslet #10374.

Rev. Gabe Godbey will officiate.

Jimmie was born February 12, 1931 to Robert and Mattie (Johnson) Adams in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was a retired dispatcher and rodeo performer.  Jimmy proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Richard Adams and Basil Adams.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Teresa McQueen and husband Dennis of Newark, and Tammy Williams and husband Joey of Rogers; his son, Brent Adams of Temple; his grandchildren, Trivette Adams and Garrett McQueen; his great grandchildren, McKinley McQueen, Jace Williams, Kayla Williams, and Kathryn Williams; his companion, Charlotte; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
