Jimmy Lynn Barnes

Bridgeport ~ Jimmy Lynn Barnes, 79, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral will be 2 PM Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial at Chico Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Rev. Fred Raney will officiate.

Jimmy was born on November 23, 1941 to Carl Boyd and Marjorie (Sells) Barnes in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Jimmy married the love of his life, Fannie Sue Phillips in Pampa. He completed high school and attended church at Hobart Baptist Church in Pampa. Jimmy worked at Targa and retired as Gas Plant Operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandchild, Nolyn Lackey; three sisters, Dorothy Langley, Karen Barnes, and Kathy Kelso; brother, Carl Dewayne Barnes; and son-in-law, Patrick Cyr.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Sue Barnes of Bridgeport; his daughter, Laura Marikis and husband Don of Bridgeport; his son, James Steven Barnes of Bridgeport; four grandchildren, Dylan Cyr, Dylissa Barnes, Seth Barnes, Lauryn Burleson and husband Hunter; his brother Ed Barnes and wife Carole of Horseshoe Bay; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
