Jimmy R. Coffman

Decatur ~ Jimmy R. Coffman, 86, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 18, 2024.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include Chase Coffman, Paul Cantrell, Ty Schlottman, Dalton Anderson, Ace Edgett, Dennis Halter, and Brandon Barrett. Honorary pallbearer is Kenneth Manning.

Jimmy was born May 24, 1937 to Alexander Clarence and Pauline (Lumas) Coffman in Bridgeport, Texas. He was united in marriage December 19, 1979 to Elaine Buckner in Tarrant County. Jimmy graduated Chico High School and owned and operated Coffman Tank Trucks for many years before retiring. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Pauline Coffman.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Elaine Coffman of Decatur; his daughter, Leslie Monett and husband Kyle of Decatur; his sons, J.D. Coffman & wife Terrisa of Chico, and Scott Anderson & wife Laurie of New Fairview; 5 grandchildren, Chase Coffman & wife Hannah, Jessica Schlottmann & husband Ty, Dalton Anderson, Kelsie Worley, and Cambrie Anderson; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Paula Buckner, and Janie Ward; extended family members and a host of friends.
