Boyd ~ Jimmy Doyle Smith, 63, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Boyd with burial at Pleasant Grove #2 in Keeter. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Mike Boaldin will officiate. Pallbearers will include Lewis Keener, Mike Stokes, Robert Demases, Kyle Mulkey, Jeff Meador, and Danny Webb. Honorary Pallbearers are Keith Pepper and Tony Gibbs.

Jimmy was born August 31, 1957 to Jimmy and Shirley (Inman) Smith in Bridgeport, Texas. He was united in marriage September 25, 1982 to Julia Nabors in Aurora, Texas. Jimmy was a pipe fitter for Freer Mechanical in Ft.Worth for over 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Boyd and member of the Masonic Lodge in Boyd, and Local Union #146 in Ft.Worth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Julia Smith of Boyd; his daughter, Sarah Haberman and husband Ryan of Boyd; his brothers, Randy Smith and wife Gayla of North Richland Hills, and Kenny Smith and wife Laura of Boyd; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
