PARADISE -- Jimmy Joe Walker, 73, a postal carrier, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 in Decatur. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Decatur Church of Christ. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 7:70 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Walker was born Dec. 15, 1933 in Boonsville, TX to George Washington and Mary Fitzgerald Walker. He married Velda Mae Lynch Oct. 17, 1959 in Springtown, TX. Mr. Walker was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Decatur Church of Christ where he served as Church Elder. Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Velda Walker of Paradise; son, Steve Walker of Bridgeport; daughter, Sarah Hickman of Paradise; and five grandchildren.
