Chico ~ Joan Cartmel Miller. 63. Went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 27, 2019 in Chico.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Joan was born February 3, 1956 to Clifton and Thelma Oleta (Pryor) Cartmel in Denver City, Texas. She was united in marriage June 30, 1990 to Tom Miller in Chico, Texas. Joan was an administrator for many years for the Texas Dept. of Human Services.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 29 years Tom Miller of Chico; her sons, Buck Jones of Chico, Wes Jones of Chico, Adam Jones of Chico, Brent Miller and wife Julie of Cleburne, and Chaz Miller and wife Stephanie of Jacksboro; her father, Clifton Cartmel of Chico; her mother Thelma Cartmel of Bowie; 13 grandchildren, Zechriah, Zaavan, Jacob, Alex, Emily, Sidney, Makayla, Kylie, Avery, Kayne, and Riley; her sisters, Julie Jester of Arkansas, and Joslon Johnson of Nocona; her brother, Cliff Cartmel Jr. of Robinson, Texas; numerous friends and extended family.
