Decatur ~ JoAnn Blackwood , 68, went to be with our Lord Thursday, April 11, 2019, in Decatur.

Memorial is 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019, at Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood. Family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Tracy Epting and James Blackwood, Jr. will officiate.

JoAnn was born on August 11, 1950 to Edgar Alonzo and Winnie Lee (Baten) Clark in Decatur. She was united in marriage to James T. Blackwood on July 6, 1978 in Denton. JoAnn was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Gary Clark.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, James T. Blackwood of Decatur; her sons, Brian Moore  and wife Karen of Greenwood, James Blackwood, Jr. and wife Carol of Boyd, and Chris Blackwood  and wife Misty of Chico ; her daughter, Angie Cash and Randy Cross of Sycamore; her grandchildren, Justin and wife Tiffany, Kaleb, Kyle, Katlynn, Skyler and husband Whitt, Corbin, Kason, and Kylie; her great grandchildren, Journi, Jagger, Kaiden, and Keelan; her sisters, Shirley Fortenberry and husband Neal, Kay Hicks and husband Melvin, Janice Wood Simmons and husband Tom, and Joyce Stevens and husband Larry; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
