Jo Ann (Woods) Caffey

Boyd ~ Jo Ann Caffey, 79, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at her home.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church, Boyd. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial is 3:00 p.m Friday. at Myrtle Cemetery, Ennis, Texas.

Rev. Kevin Caffey will officiate. Pallbearers include Jason Caffey, Colton Garrett, Clay Caffey, Justin Caffey, Joe Maxwell, Jimmy Wilkinson and Derek Wood.

Jo Ann was born on December 25, 1936 to Clyde and Ruby (Moore) Woods in Ennis, Texas. She was united in marriage to Bobby Caffey on  December 9, 1953 in Rockwall, Texas. Once you met Jo Ann, known as Granny, Grunt or Momma to her family, you never forgot her. She had a way of making everyone feel special and when you were with her, you WERE special. Jo Ann taught us all to love unconditionally. She had faith, strength and wisdom like no other and as her family, we will all honor her by carrying on her legacy of love…. We will see you again, Momma!

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Will Caffey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Bobby Caffey of Boyd; her sons, Billy Caffey and wife Kari of Springtown, and Jimmy Caffey and wife Connie of Haslet; her daughter, Debbie Garrett and husband, Rick of Fort Worth; 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
