Decatur ~ On October 21, 2017, Jo Ann Gann, 84 of Decatur went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Gerre Joiner and Doug Vaughn will officiate.
Pallbearers include Dale Rector, Jacky Carter, Tyler Gann, Kyle Curry, Ron Mosley, and Luke Mosley.
Jo Ann was born May 4, 1933 to Wallace and Jessie (Lambert) Quisenberry in Decatur, Texas. She attended Decatur Baptist College and married Raymond Gann on April 3, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. They were married 59 years till his passing in 2013. Jo Ann had worked for the Denton County Electric Coop, Decatur I.S.D., the First National Bank of Decatur, and the Decatur Hallmark Store. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gann, her parents, and 2 brothers, Ricky and Gary "Bud" Quisenberry.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Joel Gann and wife Cathy of Cypress, Texas; daughter, Amy Curry and husband Jeff of Coppell, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Austin, Allyson, and Tyler Gann, and Kyle Curry; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
