Graveside service is 2 p.m. Friday, December 18th at Alvord Cemetery with Reverend Gerre Joiner officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
JoAnn was born March 5, 2927 to O.E. and Edith Meyers Boyd in Decatur, Texas. She married Joe Grissom on December 27, 1946 in Decatur. JoAnn graduated from Decatur Baptist College and retired from Wise County as a stenographer.
Left behind to cherish her memory are husband, Joe Grissom of Weatherford; two daughters, Suzy Grissom of Denton, Shelley Smith of Azle; two sons, Tommy Grissom and wife, Debra of Waxahachie, Jim Grissom and wife, Debbie of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Andrea, Chuck, Josh, Kristy and Chris; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Boyd and wife, Mary Helen of Decatur, Jack Boyd and wife, Carolyn of Plano; sister, Helen Pascall of Denton; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Boyd.
