ALVORD -- Joe Lieja Canales, 56, a medical health tech at Wise Regional, died on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 in Decatur. Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd's House in Chico. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Kern Choate will officiate.
Joe was born on July 20, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Joe Lieja Canales, Jr. and Delores Lieja.
He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Susanna.
Left behind to cherish his memories are: wife, Kayla Canales of Alvord; mother, Delores Lieja Canales of Fort Worth; children, Joe Canales IV and wife Hope of Fort Worth, Flugencio Canales of Boyd, and Dahlia "Petia" Canales of Fort Worth; sisters, Elizabeth, Maria, Patsy, Monica, Norma, and Yolanda; brothers, Roy, Fernandeo, and Chama; grandchildren, Joe Canales V, Mario Canales, Victoria Canales, Teresa Martinez, Flugencio Canales, Jr., Alyssa Canales, Shay Dahlia Canales, and Randy Scheidegger, Jr.
