Denton: Joe Lee Kelley, 81, a homemaker, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Denton.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3rd at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in with Kevin Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.
Pallbearers are Curtis Morrow, Jeff Morrow, Chuck Harper, Richard Potter, Jr., Alley Kelley and Rickey Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Bowen, Amanda Harper and April Bowen.
Joe Lee was born July 19, 1926 in Graford, Texas, to Joseph Earheart and Elvie Lelia (Jenkins) Moore. She married Floyd Junior Kelley on March 8, 1947 and was married 60 years until his death on January 14, 2008. Joe Lee was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Alvord, and was a long time member of the order of the Eastern Star.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Kelley and wife, Barbara of Clyde, Texas; daughters, Karen Clark and husband, Robert of Lewisville, Brenda Morrow and husband, Mike of Krum; 9 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Joe Lee is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, JoAnn Teel.
