Alvord~ Joe "Pop" McCormick, 81, a retired truck driver went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in Alvord.

Pop was born on July 10, 1934 in Spur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Peggy Gideon on May 31, 1957 in Dickens, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L. H. and Jodie McCormick; 2 brothers; 4 sisters.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Peggy McCormick of Alvord; his daughter, Diane Stachowiak and husband Louis of Alvord; his son, Dwain McCormick and wife Kelly of Alvord; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
