Bowie ~ Joe Todd Smith, 53, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Nocona.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pastor Lupe Batterton will officiate. Pallbearers include Dean Smith, Eddie Smith, Rodney Davis, Paul Carroll, Robert DeSoza, and Eric Carroll. Honorary pallbearers are Ty Harrell.
Joe was born on September 23, 1963 to Joe and Cheryl (Lewis) Smith in Colorado City, Texas. Joe worked as a ranch hand.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Joe E. Smith of Aurora; his wife Dona Carroll of Bowie; his son, Joe R. Smith and wife Keri of Aurora; his daughters, Dezerea Smith of Marietta, Texas, Raven Smith of Idaho, Flesha DeSoza and husband Robert of Bowie; 7 grandchildren; his brothers, Eddie and Dean Smith; his sister, Amy Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
