Bridgeport ~ Joe Wolfe, 70, a retired machinist for Bell Helicopter, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in Willow Point Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The Rev. Eddie Klump to officiate. Pallbearers are Howard Wolfe, Wesley Hill, Tommy Fitzgerald, Paul Wolfe, Mike Roberts, Martin Wolfe.
Joe was born on May 23, 1940 to Martin and Mary (Wright) Wolfe in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Juanita Hill on May 31, 1961 in Fort Worth. Joe served his country in the US Navy as a 3rd Class Petty Officer on the Destroyer USS Hamner.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Juanita Wolfe of Bridgeport; his daughter, Shirley Wolfe Daugherty of Frisco; his sons, Howard Wolfe and wife Lisa of La Porte and Paul Wolfe of Springtown; 7 grandchildren, Abby, Gerald, Martin, Martina, Mary Beth, Kayli, and Emily; 2 great grandchildren, Aaron and Adam; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; other relatives and a host of friends.
