Joel "Gib" Giblin

Decatur ~ ASCM Joel “Gib” Giblin, 73, retired military, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
George Quillin will officiate.
Gib was born on September 21, 1940 to Clancy and Louise (Lucus) Giblin in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was united in marriage to Donna Gener on October 9, 1963 in Houston, Texas. Gib served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired after 34 years of service. He was a 33 Degree Mason of the Arlington Lodge and a member of the Wise County Veteran Group.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Donna Giblin of Decatur; his son, Daniel Giblin of Decatur; his brother, Gerald Giblin of Houston; his sister, Cheryl Hart of Houston; other family members and a host of friends.
