John "Randy" Beam

Newark ~ John “Randy” Beam, 73, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 1 PM Saturday at First Baptist Church in Newark with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 – 8 PM Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Jimmy Withers will officiate. Pallbearers are Scott Davis, Andy Messer, Kevin Niethamer, Lonnie Hull, Terry Hammond, and Larry Hagan. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy York and Lewis Coomer.

Randy was born on September 10, 1948 to John William and Lela (Smith) Beam in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Glenda Hosek on December 23, 1976 in Glen Rose. Randy was a mechanical engineer and contractor for Derrett Creek Inc. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lela Beam; 3 sisters, Mauveline Drain, Doris Hammond, and Daphene Messer; his brother, Manuel Beam; and his daughter, LenAnne Kinney.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenda Beam; 4 children, Codi Wiener and husband Matt; John Beam and wife Megan, Sonya Jackson, and Jeff Fox and wife Paula; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to First Baptist Church in Newark in Randy's name.
