Blue Mound ~ John A. Bobo, 79, a retired machinist, went to be with our Lord Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Blue Mound.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Bro. Roger Rhodes to officiate. Pallbearers are the North Texas Honor Guard.
John was born on February 9, 1932 to Lester and Oma (Romine) Bobo in Elmore, Oklahoma. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. John married Sara Alice Carpenter on January 15, 1954 in Bridgeport. He was a retired machinist from Lockheed Martin.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Sara Bobo of Fort Worth; his sons, Philip of Arlington and Stephen of New Orleans, Louisiana; his daughters, Cindy, Karen, and Leslie all of Fort Worth; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
