Decatur ~ John Joseph Callan (Joe), 43, went to be with our Lord Monday, December 5, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Church.
Pastor Mike Wheat with County Line Cowboy Church and Arena will officiate. Pallbearers include Cannon Jones, Kevin Dennis, David West, David Cobb, Jimmy Miller, Ronnie Barnes, Richard Norris and Steve Neeley.
Joe was born on February 23, 1973 to John and Linda (Novak) Callan in Garland, Texas. He was united in marriage to Nia Nolen on December 12, 2012 in Decatur. Joe was a salesman in Fire Prevention. He was an avid team roper, natural salesman, never met a stranger and made new friends everywhere he went. Joe loved his wife, kids and family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Callan
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Nia Callan of Decatur; his daughter, Alexis Callan of Jacksboro; his son, Beau Spears of Decatur; his mother, Linda Heitzman and husband Rick of Sachse; his dad, John Callan and wife Verna of Kerrville; his brother, Christopher Callan and wife Erin of Kerrville; and a host of family and friends.
