Alvord: John Phillips Davidson, 45, of Alvord went to be with our Lord on Friday, March 20, 2009 at his residence in Alvord.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Alvord with the Reverend William Turner officiating. Interment will be in a family cemetery in Alvord following the service. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Pallbearers are Ron Butler, Ray Murphy, Gregg Jones, Darren Ferguson, Lou West and Dale Tice.
John was born January 6, 1964 in Houston to John Booth and Vonitta Dale (West) Davidson. He married Linda Giles, March 16, 1985 in Hurst. He worked as a parts counterman and was a member of Trinity Baptist Temple Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Linda Davidson; daughter, Heather Nicole Watt and husband, Brian of Alvord; sons, Keagan and Sean Davidson of Alvord; parents, John and Vonitta Davidson of North Richland Hills, Texas; brother, Richard Davidson of North Richland Hills; sisters, Jaque Myers of Arlington and Catherine Shaver of North Richland Hills; grandson, Samuel Edward Watt; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
