TERRAL, OK - John Frank Denton, 18, a senior at Ryan high school, went to be with our Lord Saturday, August 21, 2010, in Terral, Oklahoma.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Burial: West Bridgeport Cemetery.

The Rev. Mark Kunkel will officiate. Pallbearers: Jessie Denton, Kenny Wilkerson, Adam Cooper, Michael Denton, Ryan Blevins, and Shaun Blevins.

John was born on June 3, 1992, to Jessie and Gayla (Fullbright) Denton in Fort Worth. He was a Baptist.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Jessie Denton and wife, Kathy of Terral, OK; his mother, Gayla Hammonds of Springtown. TX; 2 sisters, April Denton and Michelle Johnson; 5 brothers, Michael Denton, Kyle Denton, Robert Ivie, Matthew Denton, and Joshua Denton; his grandmother, Leatrice Denton of Terral, OK; his grandfather, John Fullbright of Pittsburg, TX; other relatives and a host of friends.

Our hearts are saddened along with you all. Of course our memory of John is a little boy at our family reunions. Good memories. Was shocked when I opened the Wichita Record News and found the obituaries. Our hearts are with you along with other cousins. Love Dorothy & Gene

To John's family: So sorry to hear about what happened to John. I remember him as a little boy who attended Terral Elementary and since we were such a small school, knew all of our kids well, including John. I have good memories of John and will miss him. The Lord had other plans for John and he is waiting in heaven for us. Don Garrison, Former Terral Supt.
