John Harold Ivy

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday, May 23rd at Sweetwater Cemetery with Gerre Joiner officiating. John was born April 7, 1936 in Decatur to James Isaac and Alta Ellen (Gage) Ivy. John, an Army veteran, worked for 34 years as a pipe liner for Lone Star Gas. He was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Richard Ivy of Decatur; sisters, Jose Mae Buck of Levensworth, Kansas and Ellen Ann Wright of Gilmer, Texas; several nephews, nieces and a host of friends.
John is preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthy Ann Ivy; brother, James 'Buddy' Ivy; sister, Minnie Fay Coleman.

As a great co-worker with Lone Star, John was very special to me. He is a part of many wonderful memories, and I am saddened that he is gone. Richard and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
