John William Krebbs

Newark ~ John William Krebbs, 82, a retired mechanic, went to be with our Lord Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 AM Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial in Dido Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Leroy Thompson, Beau Bentley, Chris Rodgers, Micheal Rodgers, Doyle Joyner, and Larry Franklin.

John was born on February 6, 1938 to Rufus and Violet Marie (Alexander) Krebbs in Fulsom, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Davis Krebbs on June 6, 1959 in Haltom City. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 50 years, Carolyn Davis Krebbs; daughter, Lois Gayle Rodgers; brother, Clinton Krebbs; and sister, Ruby Krebbs.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his 2 grandchildren, Bri Rodgers and husband Chris of Amarillo, and Andrea Roeder and husband Michael Currell of Newark; 4 great-grandchildren, Heaven, Micheal, Zanca, and Izabeth; 3 sisters, Kitty Krebbs-Arnott of Fort Worth, Lavinua McDaniel of Las Cruses, New Mexico, and Sue Krebbs of Oklahoma; his  brother, Larry Krebbs of Oklahoma; numerous relatives and a host of friends.
