John Earn Nutt

Runaway Bay ~ John Earn Nutt, 80, of Runaway Bay, went to be with our Lord on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Denton.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Max Kassera will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Danny Carnley, Jim Merritt, Danny Merritt, Chris Cullen, Will Glock, Pat Clark. Honorary pallbearers are to include Vick Graham and Jack Ross.

John was born on January 7, 1940 to Eldon and Evelyn (Harper) Nutt in French Camp, California. He was united in marriage to Allie Marie West on March 11, 2005 in Weatherford. John proudly served in the United States Army from which he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Johnny Nutt; his brothers, Donald Nutt and Eldon Nutt, Jr.; and his sister, Lomita Wheeler.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 15 years, Allie Nutt of Runaway Bay; his children, Robert Nutt of Colorado, Deanna Hearn of Sheridan, California, Ella Thomas of Redmond, Oregon, Sandra Bryant and husband Robert of Perrin, Texas, and Shane Womack of Bridgeport, Texas; his sister, Cheryl Winter; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members and a host of friends.
