John Franklin Pettit

Rhome ~ John Franklin Pettit, 59, went to be with our Lord Sunday, December 6, 2020.

John was born May 22, 1961 to Leroy and Rebecca (Huggler) Pettit in White County, Indiana. He was united in marriage September 9, 2012 to Carole Joyce Pinchera in Decatur, Texas. John proudly served our country in the United States Army and was Quarter Master for the Rhome Veterans Organization. He enjoyed helping Rhome Veterans Organization with projects for other veterans. John loved grilling, fishing, fixing and repairing items of all kinds. Family was tremendously important to him, he retired early to care for his wife and spend more time with her. He loved his dog, Cooper and various cats including a feral colony he looked after.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Carole Pettit of Rhome; his parents, James and Bobbie Conner of Lafayette, Indiana; his sons, John Pettit of Lafayette, Indiana and Josh Pettit of Newbury, Ohio; his daughter, Jennifer Blakeney and husband Vincent Kiedrowski of Carrollton; his brothers, JD Pettit of Jaymesville, Wisconsin, Junior Pettit of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jim Conner of Lafayette, Indiana, Brian and Scott Conner of Lafayette, Indiana; his sisters, Francis Hood of Virginia, Ida Pettit of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Brenda Jennings of Lafayette, Indiana; his grandchildren, Justin Blakeney and Emma Bowman of Rhome, Lincoln Pettit of Lafayette, Indiana, Myrissa Pettit of Newbury, Ohio, Kimber Kiedrowski and Landon Kiedrowski of Prosper; and numerous close friends he considered family.A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
