DECATUR -- John Henry Peyton Jr., 75, a retired cashier for First National Bank of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005, in Decatur. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church Alvord. Burial: Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Peyton was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Willie Claborn Peyton, and brother, Guenn Peyton. Survivors: Brothers, George Peyton and wife Betty of Bridgeport, Wayne Peyton and wife Bobby of Alvord, Paul Peyton and wife Nancy of Bellevue and Roy Peyton and wife Louise of Alvord; sisters, Donna Nickerson and husband Nick of Azle, Linda Sue Worley and husband Roger of Denton and Margie Nell Peyton of Saginaw; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
