John Charles Reed

Sunset ~ John Charles Reed, 76, a retired diesel mechanic, went to be with our Lord Friday, July 14, 2023 in Sunset.

John was born on January 26, 1947 to Charles Oakley and Artie Mae (Lauderdale) Reed in Post, Texas. He was united in marriage to Barbra Jean King in 1993. John was a beloved grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbra Reed; his daughter, Tonya Martin; and his son, John Charles Reed, Jr.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his grandsons, Tony Romines and Tracey Romines; his great-grandchildren, Braydon Romines, Briley Romines, and Remington Romines; his sister, Bert Taylor; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
