John Henry Streng

Paradise, TX – John Henry Streng, 74, went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Paradise, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Boyd.

John Streng was born on December 12, 1948, to John P. Streng and Sophia Mae Streng.  He was united in marriage on December 5, 1997, to his late wife Lynda Russell Streng in Euless, Texas.

John had an entrepreneurial spirit when it came to work – owning his on deck/concrete company, pool company, and a truck hauling company. He served our country during the Vietnam war with tours from 1967 through 1971 and was awarded a Purple Heart.  When he was not out helping his daughter, Emily, with her horses, you could find him at the Texas Motorplex when NHRA was in town or visiting friends/classmates from Sacred Heart Catholic School. He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, John P. Streng; mother, Mae Streng; and wife, Lynda Streng.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Kyle Streng (Andrew) of Tampa, FL; his daughters, Emily Streng of Paradise, TX and Stacy Freeman (Tommy) of Quebec, Canada; his grandchildren, Maxime and Nathan of Quebec, Canada; his sister, Patsy Bayer (Reggie) of Muenster; numerous extended family members; and a host of treasured friends.
