Decatur ~ John C. Ward, 58, of Decatur died Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Decatur, Texas.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sycamore Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
John was born August 2, 1955 to Buddy and Aaron (Croy) Ward in Denton, Texas. He married Trisha Dixon on August 2, 2003 in Sanger, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Trisha Powell of Decatur; son, John Warren Powell of Decatur; 3 daughters, Stephanie Powell and husband Vince of Oklahoma, Stephanie Lloyd and husband Phillip of Denton, and Jamie Ward of Denton; parents, Buddy and Aaron Ward of Decatur; 3 brothers, Eddie, Danny, and Kevin Ward; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Brandy Ward.
