John V. White

Funeral service is 4:00 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Duane White and Kent Sparks officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Cotton Roberts, Doug Pounds, Mark Hurley, Cory Watson, Mike McNeil, and Robert Clark. Honorary Pallbearers include Billy Fred Walker, Juan Torres, Dan Selz, and Danny Singleton.

John was born August 5, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to Francis and Exma Kirby White. He married Linda Lee Abbott on December 17, 2007. John was a 1971 graduate of De Sota High School in DeSota, Texas and a member of Cross Timbers Community Church in Decatur.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda White of Decatur; two daughters, Shawna Paddack and husband, Jim, Tracey Austin-Ivy and husband, Brandon both of Sanger; step-daughter, Rhonda Fruendt and husband, Brian of Corinth; stepson, Christopher Cox of Carrollton; seven grandchildren, Jarrett and Jacob Stastny, Rosston Austin, Casen Ivy, Zane and Chris Paddack, Cameron Fruendt; two brothers, Lloyd White of Grand Prairie, Donald White and wife, Linda of Edinburg; and sister, Joy D. Roberts and husband, Cotton, Decatur.

John is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kerry White.
