Bridgeport ~ John William Pitts, 81, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur.
Denny Pavlik will officiate.
John was born on May 29, 1935 to Walter and Charolotte(Kell) Pitts in Roswell, New Mexico. He was united in marriage to Lorene Tarpley on June 11, 1994 in Fort Worth. John retired as an Electrical Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Lorene Pitts of Bridgeport; his son, Steve Walden of Decatur; his daughters, Suzzanna Moore of Decatur, Clarisa Skinner and husband Curtis of Rhome; his 7 grandchildren; his 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; his brother, Charles Pitts and wife Laune of Decatur; his 2 nieces; and a host of friends.
