Decatur: Johnnie Williard Dunn, 76, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 4 p.m. Saturday, November 8th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brandon Dunn, Pete Potter, Paul Watson, Randy Potter, Randy Potter, Jr., Tom Hall, Billy Waddell, Monty Shawn and Kenneth Fuqua. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Fuqua and Rick Potter.
Johnnie was born November 2, 1932 in Decatur, Texas to Johnnie Marion and Velma Lorene (Norris) Dunn. He married Billie Kathryn Stickler on May 16, 1954 in Bridgeport, Texas. Johnnie retired as a postal clerk at the Fort Worth Post Office. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was a member of the 8th Army Rangers and was a Disabled American Veteran.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Billie Dunn of Decatur; son, Bryant Dunn and wife, Cindy of Frisco; daughter, Belinda Kathryn Dunn of Decatur; grandson, Brandon Dunn of Frisco; sister, Lucille Potter of Decatur; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his son, Johnnie W. Dunn, Jr. and his sister, Ruby Jo Fuqua.
